Here's how you can get in the top 5% of all people in any given subject.

Just Teach Yourself

It is both laughable and unbelievable how great the gap is between how hard people think something is and how hard it actually is. In a business context, this could be running ads, sending cold emails, creating content, taking sales calls, creating a VSL, or truly, anything you can think of. It is the same in all areas of life too.

You can get in the top 5% of all people in any given subject with just 10 hours of learning, practice and experience. You can get in the top 1% with just 100 hours. The bar is set so low these days. You don’t have to do much to be able to run circles around the average “professional” at their own job.

If you really think about it, there are a finite number of important, monetizable skills in the market. For any given industry or business model, there are around 10, and maybe even less for some of them.

You could get into the top 5% at every skill related to your business model in just 50 hours of focused learning combined with a little practice and experience. Think about that for a second. If you systematically learned and practiced for just one hour per day, you would be in the top 5% of all relevant skills in just two months, while taking the weekends off.

This is powerful on its own, but even more powerful once you realize that skills do not “add” together, they multiply. It is not 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2. It is 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2.

Act accordingly.
