A Five-Step Plan To Be 1,000% More Productive
Get more work done each day by following these five steps.
A Five-Step Plan To Be 1,000% More Productive
1. Set up your work station (ie. desk) in a room that can be completely dark.
Bonus points if it is small and cramped.
Extra bonus points if you have a second computer to use where you block everything but the websites you need.
2. Get a timer, set it for 60 minutes and literally train yourself to sit there and work until it goes off.
Once you do it about 50 times, it will be easy.
Your phone will not be allowed in the dark, (hopefully) cramped room at all. You will survive, don't worry.
3. At the end of each 60 minutes, fill out a Google Form proving what you did.
This is required to get an accurate assessment. Most people lie to themselves about how much work they do.
Filling out the form will give a dopamine hit.
4. Do these at least three times right when you wake up before you take any meetings or do anything else.
You will want to do this at least five times total per day. Five hours of work this way is worth 50 hours of work the "normal" way.
5. Listen to the same song on repeat or wear earplugs.
This will make it much, much easier. If you're going to listen to music, the same song on repeat will be a lot better so you aren't tempted to change the song.
